IronWave Terms of Use

Version 2 in English · effective November 3, 2026. This is the translation of version 2 in Portuguese (November 3, 2026). If the versions differ, the one that protects you more applies.

These terms are the agreement between you and the person who makes IronWave: what you can expect from the game and what the game expects from you. I tried to write them the way I would like to read them. If something is not clear, write to the address at the bottom and I will explain.

IronWave is made by João Vitor Avelar, an individual based in Brazil, who signs his games as D.O.N (Dreams Over Nothing). In this text, "I" am me, and "you" are the player.

What happens to your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement. I do not repeat it here.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, ticking the "I have read and accept" box or playing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not play: you can delete your account at any time (section 11).

These terms apply to the IronWave app for Android, to the game's official servers and to the account pages of the donroger.com.br website.

2. Who can play

IronWave is not directed to children under 13, as the Privacy Policy says.

If you are between 13 and 18, play with the permission of your parent or guardian. Purchases made on the account are that adult's responsibility. To avoid accidental purchases, Google Play lets the parent or guardian require a password or approval for every purchase.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child created an account, write to the address at the bottom and I will delete it.

3. Your account

How you sign in. You sign in with your Google account or with a DON Account, which uses an email and a password and can be created on the website or in the game; the email must be confirmed before you play. Both can be linked to the same captain, and then you can sign in with either one. If you started as a guest, without signing in, your captain is tied to that device and you may need to link Google or a DON Account to keep playing.

One server, one account. IronWave has three servers (South America, North America and Europe), each with its own accounts, progress, rankings and guilds. The captain, items, diamonds and Premium of one server do not move to another, and a DON Account belongs to the server chosen when it is created. Pick the server when you sign in to the game and when you sign up on the website; signing in with Google works on any of them.

One account per person, and it is yours. Do not lend it, do not share it and do not use someone else's account. The account plays on one device at a time: signing in on another ends the session on the first.

The password. Keep your DON Account password safe and do not reuse one from elsewhere. I never ask for your password by email, in-game message or any other way. Whoever asks is not me.

What happens on the account. You are responsible for what is done on your account, unless the problem comes from a bug in the game itself. If you notice something odd (a sign-in that was not you, items disappearing), change your password and let me know.

Getting access back.

To talk to me about your account, have your account code at hand; it appears in the game's Options.

4. Conduct

Sinking another captain where the game allows it is part of the game. What is not allowed:

Against people who bother you, you have tools in the game itself: block a captain (they can no longer send you messages, friend requests or challenges), report a message and receive messages only from friends.

5. Moderation

A person decides on any penalty, not a program: the game may flag something suspicious, but nothing punishes on its own. A report keeps the excerpt of the conversation for me to read.

Depending on how serious it is and whether it repeats, I can:

If you think I got it wrong, appeal. Write to dev@donroger.com.br with the subject "Appeal IronWave suspension", your captain's name or account code, the server and what happened. I answer within 15 days and, if the penalty was a mistake, I undo it.

6. Virtual items, diamonds and Premium

What you have in the game. Gold, diamonds, ships, weapons, parts, ammo, consumables, achievements and everything else are a personal license to use, inside the game and while your account exists. They are not money, have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for money, cannot be redeemed and cannot be transferred to another account or another server.

Diamonds. They are the game's special currency. Some come from playing (chests, achievements); the rest can be bought.

Purchases. Every purchase is made through Google Play: the price, in your country's currency, appears on Google's screen before you confirm, and the payment stays with Google. The game may ask for the account to be linked before the first purchase. Diamonds arrive in your account after Google confirms the payment. Paid and did not get them? Write with the order number Google sent to your email.

Refunds. They follow the Google Play refund policy and the consumer rights your country's law gives you. The request is made to Google. When Google completes a refund or a chargeback, the diamonds from that purchase leave the account; if they were already spent, the diamond balance goes to zero, never negative.

Deleting the account does not give money back. Purchased diamonds are not refunded because of the account deletion (section 11).

Premium. It is a monthly subscription, billed by Google Play, that renews automatically until you cancel. The price and benefits appear in the game's Shop and on Google's screen before you subscribe. It saves time (no ads, among other conveniences) and gives cosmetics, but gives no advantage in combat.

7. Rewarded ads

IronWave ads are optional: none shows up by itself. They only play when you tap to watch, in exchange for a reward: opening a chest, at port, or unlocking a round of auto mode, at sea. Each use has a daily limit, which the game shows.

8. The game changes

IronWave is an online game in continuous development. To keep it fair and alive, I can change the balance (damage, hit points, speed, prices, rewards, what comes out of chests), the content (maps, ships, weapons, quests, game modes) and the events and their dates. A balance change can make an item you already have weaker or stronger.

Servers may stop for maintenance or because of a failure. I warn you when I can, but there is no way to guarantee the game is online all the time. Old versions of the app may stop being able to connect: to play, keep the game updated.

The game may end one day. If that happens, I will announce it on the website and in the game with reasonable notice, and from the announcement on I will stop selling diamonds and Premium. When the game goes offline, accounts and items cease to exist, and data follows what the Privacy Policy says.

9. Intellectual property

The game, the IronWave name, the D.O.N brand, the art, models, sounds, texts, maps and code are mine or used by me under license. I give you a personal, non-exclusive, free permission to install and play IronWave on your device, for non-commercial use. That permission ends when the account is closed.

Within the limits the law allows, you may not copy, extract or modify the game's files, disassemble the app, distribute it outside Google Play and the official website, or run your own servers for the game.

Videos and screenshots are welcome, including on monetized channels, as long as they show you playing, do not suggest they are official and do not sell the game's art separately from it.

Your captain's name and the messages you write remain yours. You authorize me to show them inside the game and to keep them for the time stated in the Privacy Policy. Suggestions you send me may be used in the game, with no obligation to pay.

10. Limits of my liability

I do what is within my reach for the game to work well and securely, but no program is free of bugs. When a bug in the game takes something of yours, I check the transaction log and give back what was lost.

Within the limits of Brazilian law, and of the law of your country where it applies, I am not liable for:

Nothing in this section, or anywhere else in these terms, takes away a right that Brazil's Consumer Protection Code, the law of your country or any other law guarantees you and that cannot be waived by contract. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this includes the consumer protections of your country of residence.

11. Closing the account

By you, whenever you want. Deletion is in the game, in Options › Account › Delete account. If you have a DON Account, you can also delete it on the website, at My account, and if you no longer have the game installed you can ask by email, as the Privacy Policy explains.

By the game. I can close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms (section 5), and all accounts close if the game ends (section 8).

12. Governing law and courts

These terms follow Brazilian law, including the Consumer Protection Code (Law 8,078/1990), the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Law 12,965/2014) and the General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018). If you play from another country, the consumer rights your country's law gives you, and that cannot be waived by contract, also apply.

Any dispute can be taken to the courts where you live. Before that, write to me: almost everything can be solved by email.

13. Changes to these terms

The current version and date are at the top of this page. If I change something relevant, I announce it on the website before the change takes effect; an adjustment required by law or for security can take effect immediately. If you keep playing after the new date, you agree to the new version. If you do not agree, you can delete the account (section 11). Earlier versions are available on request.

14. Contact

Questions, purchase problems, appeals or reports: write to dev@donroger.com.br. I answer within 15 days. If it is about your account, send your captain's name or account code and the server you play on.
